Why this site exists
I wanted a place on the internet that’s actually mine — not a profile inside someone else’s platform, not a feed, just a plain page with my name on it that I control top to bottom.
The design brief I gave myself was simple: make it look like a professor’s website. The kind that’s mostly text on an off-white background, loads instantly, and hasn’t changed its layout since it went up — because it never needed to. No dark mode toggle, no animations, nothing clever. The content is the site.
Under the hood it’s Astro generating plain HTML, with each blog post a Markdown file in a folder. The whole thing deploys automatically when I push to the repo.
What will show up here: notes on what I’m learning, updates on research and projects, and the occasional reflection like my goals for the fall. If you want to know what I’m up to at any given moment, the now page is the place to look — and if you want to reach me, my email is at the bottom of every page.
